Taylor Place is a native to Hilton Head Island, S.C., where he lettered in three sports: Baseball, Basketball, and Football. Earning All-Region and State honors over the course of his career in Baseball and Football. He went on to play collegiate baseball at Burlington County College and USC-Sumter before finishing his career at USCB. Where he completed his Bachelors in Business Management. He was named All-GSAC, Honorable Mention Region X, and also named a Beach League All-Star during a stint in a collegiate summer league.

After his Baseball career, he began coaching and giving back to the community he grew up in. Taylor was the Head Assistant Coach for Hilton Head Preparatory school from 2015-2017 where he helped lead them to a SCISA State Runner-Up finish. He has been a part of multiple travel baseball organizations where he has developed many student athletes to be able to compete at the collegiate level.

Currently, he works with The Brunori Group which focuses on Commercial Real-Estate and Commercial Acquisitions & Dispositions. Taylor and his fiancé, Jill Brunori, just welcomed their first child into the world March 28, 2025- Juliana Kate Place.

Jill Brunori works in Commercial Real Estate, specializing in tenant representation for retail, office, and medical. She works with local, regional, and national tenants and developers on site acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to moving back to the Lowcountry, Jill was an Advisor for Trinity Commercial Group where she spearheaded the commercial office in Tampa, FL. Notable clients include: Circle K, MD Now Urgent Care, Ivybrook, Miller Valentine Investments, Ihop, Macys, Chicken Salad Chick, Restore Cryotherapy.

As a high school graduate of Hilton Head Prep, Jill grew up in the Lowcountry. A four-sport player at Hilton Head Prep, SCISA Rookie of the year in 2010 and 2008 SCISA Runner of the Year. She went on to play division one basketball at Wake Forest University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Communication & Entrepreneurship followed by a Master’s degree in Business Management. In her free time, she coaches high school girls’ basketball at Cross, serves as a CASA/ Guardian Ad Litem volunteer, and spends time with her fiancé, Taylor, and their five month old, Juliana.

Treasurer

Demetrius Russell is a Wealth Advisor in Tampa, FL. He focuses on comprehensive financial planning, investment portfolio design, and retirement planning solutions, including insurance strategies.

Before transitioning to becoming an independent advisor, Demetrius was a Regional Vice President for Lincoln’s LTC Insurance Sales Distribution team covering Eastern Florida. He has extensive experience and knowledge in the insurance and retirement planning space. During this time, he earned two top performance awards: Lincoln’s Leader’s Club Award in 2018 and Lincoln’s Wholesaler Rookie of the Year Award in 2020. His commitment to his clients and his practice is evident in his continually thoughtful approach and dedication to his work.

Demetrius graduated with a double major from Colgate University, where he also played Division I Football. He has a passion for sports and serving his community. For the last twelve years, he has participated in mentorship programs for high school and college students and volunteered at organizations like The Ronald McDonald House and Salvation Army. He is a football enthusiast and plays in the occasional flag-football league. When he’s not watching the games, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
